There are many reasons why we struggle with foods, and each person or family is treated as individual. Among some of the ‘popular or regular’ reasons are:
- Emotional eating, when we are sad, uncomfortable, stressed, lonely
- People who depend wholly on strenuous exercise routines with no results
- There are those who obsess about food and with constant ‘glorious’ adverts, find it impossible to resist
- Yo-yo diets that have failed time and again
- Routine, eg: TV and snacks, a reward after a hectic day, a treat when the children have finally settled down for the night
- Busy lifestyle and snacking at our desks
